Career Development
What are you looking for in a career?
Obviously money, and earning enough of it to live, is a major concern for most of us. But it shouldn't be the only (or even the greatest) factor in your decision-making.

To be successful in any role, it helps if it's something you actually care about and are motivated by. After all, you could have the best payed job in the world, but if you're hating every minute of it it's unlikely to be a sustainable choice for you.

When you instead start by understanding what you are best suited for, and what you are likely to get satisfaction from, you can begin shaping the things that energise you into a profitable career path you won't hate!
Do you know what does & doesn't work well for you?
An important consideration as you develop your career path, is knowing the kind of environment and pace of work that will work well for you. Some of this stuff you'll only discover through experience and trying different things, but there are some aspects that hoozyu can help you understand from the outset.

Are you someone who needs plenty to do, or time to think through your actions first? Do you prefer it when people are straight-up with you, or do you prefer they take care with the way they communicate? Do you want to be given a detailed plan to follow, or just the big picture and freedom to figure out the details yourself?
Anna did her hoozyu when she was 17. She later graduated from university and worked in a start up for a couple of years, but was laid off due to cuts. Being unemployed in a slow job market felt challenging and she was very happy when her career advisor set up an interview for her with a large insurance company.
She had learnt how to explain herself using her hoozyu results and in the interview impressed the panel by describing herself so clearly. She was able to say that she enjoyed helping others and working with systems and administration, and that she could also come up with creative ideas, as long as she had time to think. She acknowledged that she would find it challenging to work under pressure, as she preferred time to learn new things and build up her confidence gradually.
The managers were amazed to hear a young person explain themselves so well and quickly offered her a place on their graduate scheme!
What will you gravitate towards?
Your Asterisk marker on the Grid highlights the overall area that you may be motivated to work in, while your Focus reveals the specific tasks you may gravitate towards. Combining these two provides great insight!
What do you love working on?
Your top Interest scores can help you identify the areas you are likely to be most energised working in. Your very low Interest scores, meanwhile, help you recognise the kind of work likely to really drain your batteries.
How will you contribute?
Your Diamond on the Grid gives you a summary of your 'Usual Behaviour' — how you will tend to go about things, and the kind of contribution you may make, when your Needs are met and things are going well for you.
What will you need from others?
Your Circle on the Grid gives you a summary of the kind of environment and context that's going to work best for you. From the way you want to be communicated with to the level of interaction you will prefer, and so on.
Who do you look most like?
Your Career Matches don't tell you what you should do with your life, but they do reveal who you look most like. A high match means: you are similar to people who are happy and successful in this role or career family.
