Self-Discovery For Young People
Finding a Good Path
What defines a good path for life & career?
Some would define a good career path as the one that will be most stable over time, or the one that leads to the best financial reward for pursuing it.

There's nothing wrong with either of those answers, but we would argue that if you're hating* every step of the journey, then even stability and reward are going to lose their appeal...
From our perspective, a good career path is one that brings you satisfaction as you walk it, and enables you to grow in the things that will allow you to make course corrections along the way when you need to — whether that's due to changing circumstances, or because you find that the path you're on isn't the one you want to keep following.

Finding a good path for your life and career doesn't mean trying to figure out what the "absolute best, most perfect option ever" is going to be. That's a lot of pressure to put on yourself! Our advice: Finding a good place to start will get you further, faster, than waiting for that illusive thing we call perfection.

A good guide is one who helps you explore the possibilities and options, and allows you to choose a path that works for you, for now.
In the same way, hoozyu will never tell you what you should do with your life, or who you should become. Instead this tool, backed by behavioural science and empirical research, helps you understand the core aspects of who you are, so that you can begin a journey that fits you.
Meet Your Guide

The Summary Report
Your Summary Report may look a little overwhelming at first glance, but think of it as a user manual for understanding who you are and what you need, in order to be at your best.

While it does feature Career Matching Data (at the bottom right of the page), the really important stuff to understand is all the rest: Your Grid, Your Interests, and Your Focus. These 3 areas give you insights into:

-
How you will tend to behave and communicate with others
-
How you prefer others to behave and communicate with you
-
How you may react under stress
-
The kinds of activities that energise and interest you in the long run
-
The kinds of tasks you will usually gravitate towards, no matter what you're working on

Self-knowledge is a great foundation for finding the right direction in life. Having objective data on what will and won't work well for you can help you filter advice and options, and figure out what a good next step may be.
Unlock Potential
You have a unique mix of motivations, behaviours and perspectives - and that's hugely valuable! As you get comfortable with who you are and the value you bring, you may begin to see fresh ideas and opportunities.
Feel Confident
You don't have to have it all figured out from the start; confidence grows as you start to see what you have to work with, and how you can begin taking small steps in the right direction, out into "the real world".
Share Ideas
hoozyu gives you a simple language and framework to be able to discuss what you're learning with the adults and mentors in your life. Explain yourself, and what really matters to you, with new ease!
